CMS Football

Welcome to the Kyle Sweeney Football Camp. We are committed to providing a camp that is both instructional and FUN! The coaching staff at Claremont-Mudd-Scripps College is dedicated to the development and growth of Football players of all ages and skill levels.

Our camps are staffed by the Stags coaching staff as well as current CMS players. We group athletes by age and ability to provide a challenging learning environment. Our goal is to offer a positive, structured learning experience for all of our athletes.

Roberts Pavilion ….. Home of the Stags and Athenas

The Finest in Division III Athletics
Named in honor of CMC trustee and alumnus George R. Roberts ’66 P’93, the Roberts Pavilion is the spectacular $72 million athletic center for the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps intercollegiate, intramural, and physical education programs.

 

Designed by the award-winning creative team at John Friedman Alice Kimm Architects, the LEED Gold-certified Pavilion features a state-of-the-art fitness center and a generous venue area with a seating capacity of approximately 2,200, which provides hosting opportunities for important college and community events.

 

The Roberts Pavilion is a one-stop shop for CMS athletes, it houses our new locker rooms, state of the art athletic training facility with hot and cold pools, weight room and coaches offices. The luxury and beauty of being under one roof leads to a singular heart beat within the athletic department which facilitates camaraderie among the three institutions.

The camp is run by the CMS Football coaching staff. All campers will receive one on one instruction from CMS’s respective position coach.

The camp will be held at Claremont McKenna College’s athletic facility: Robert’s Pavilion. The physical address for Robert’s Pavilion is 690 N. Mills Ave, Claremont, CA 91711

CMS is the combined athletic department of Claremont McKenna College, Harvey Mudd College and Scripps College of the Claremont Consortium. Claremont McKenna College is a top liberal arts college focused on hands on education in Economics, Government, Sciences, etc… with a focus in real world application and job experience. Harvey Mudd College is one of the top STEM schools in the country. HMC is world renowned for its education in producing the world’s best engineers and computer scientist. Scripps College is an all-female college.

We do not take deposits for camps. Payment in full is due at the time of registration.

Online registration for camp will close 24 hours prior to each camp session.

Yes. One of our goals is to provide an atmosphere that is both instructional and competitive. In order to do so, we need to set a limit on the number of campers. It is advised that you sign up as soon as possible in order to guarantee yourself a slot.

All campers should bring cleats, sneakers, t-shirt, shorts, and a helmet. QBs are encouraged to bring a football for warm-up purposes.

Yes. We highly encourage parents to attend. Due to insurance reasons, it is mandatory that all non-participants at camp remain in the stands so that no needless accidents occur

Yes. A fully catered, all you can eat dinner is served at 5:00pm. Dinner is included in the registration cost for the participant and additional meals can be purchased for guests at $10 each. If you have a food allergy, please let us know.

Each session begins with a brief but comprehensive registration. Once registration is complete, we will have, admissions information, football talks, dinner and practice at 7pm.

Although there are breaks built into the day, there is not a substantial amount of free time. Therefore, we request that you remain within the confines of CMC during the camp.

Camp will include a full tour of Claremont McKenna College and Harvey Mudd College.

Unfortunately, NCAA regulations disallow us from being able to provide a discount to any camper.

Yes. Fully qualified medical personnel will be on site. In the event of a more serious injury, there are major hospitals located within 5 miles of the school as well as a health center on campus.

Refund request date and refund amount: Before July 10th $80.00, After July : No refund available.

No refunds will be provided for campers who become injured, sick, have transportation issues, etc.

Please understand that we will not be hosting a Snappers or Kickers Camp, but we will accommodate you before the start of practice for 30 minutes. You will have an opportunity to work snapping and/or kicking with the CMS Football Special Team’s Staff.

Parking will be free in the Bizant’s tennis center on 6th street, in the Bauer parking lots and street parking on Mills and Brooks Ave.

Sixth Street Trophy Migrates North!

Senior running back Garrett Cheadle was one of 11 seniors honored before the game and rushed for 121 yards in his final contest as the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps football team won back the Sixth Street Trophy with a 20-17 win over Pomona-Pitzer on Saturday afternoon at Zinda Field.

Cheadle finished his career with 2,987 yards, just missing becoming the third running back in school history to reach the 3,000-yard mark. Sophomore quarterback Zach Fogel was 8-9 passing for 102 yards and ran for 82 yards and a touchdown, while Dylan Porter had six tackles and two sacks to lead the defense.
