About Us

Leinster Rugby School of Excellence at Syracuse University

Leinster Rugby is a world-leading professional and amateur rugby organization located in Dublin, Ireland, with an unrivaled track record in developing rugby talent. Leinster’s rugby athletes currently represent over 70% percent of the Irish Rugby national team, currently ranked number one by World Rugby. The School of Excellence aims to develop smart and skillful rugby players and inspire the mindset and training habits that will help them achieve their full potential. Leinster is now offering its highly successful camp at Syracuse University, for a second year following the success of its’ launch last year.

The School of Excellence at Syracuse University will provide aspiring rugby athletes, from age 13-17 (girls and boys) with a comprehensive rugby training and educational program that simulates a week in the life of a professional rugby player. Campers will learn to play the Leinster way, as they gain a greater understanding of the game and learn about values such as teamwork, commitment, integrity, and communication.

Campers should expect a structured rugby development program, emphasizing skill development, game understanding, activity and enjoyment. In particular, campers will develop core rugby skills and learn to perform them under challenging conditions through coaching in a professional environment.
