Description

This day clinic is designed to give participants an inside look into what it is like to be on Southeast Missouri State University Sundancers team and best practices in preparing to audition for a college dance team. At the Sundancers Fall clinic dancers will be able to interact and learn from current members and Sundancers coach in a class setting. 

This clinic is open to high school aged and current college dancers for the 2025-2026  academic year. Attendance is HIGHLY recommended for dancers graduating in the Class of 2026 with plans to audition for the Sundancers. This will be a fast-paced, yet welcoming and accepting atmosphere.

12:00 PM—Registration 
12:30-1:00 PM—Warm Up/Intros/Technique
1:00-1:30 PM—Learn Jazz Choreography  
1:30-2:00 PM—Learn Hip-Hop Choreography  
2:00-2:30 PM—Open Discussion

Cost
The fee for the Southeast Missouri State Spring College Dance Team Prep Clinic is $25 per participant. The clinic is open to high school freshman, sophomore, juniors, seniors, and current college students.  Full payment is required at the time of registration. You may register online by visiting https://info.abcsportscamps.com/semo-sundancers. There may be online processing fees added to online registrations. Walk up registrants must pay $30 to participate.  

Equipment
Dancers should dress in comfortable dance attire (ex. Hot shorts, bra top/tank). Dance shoes of choice: jazz shoes, tennis shoes, turner shoes, etc. Dancers should supply snacks and water as preferred.

Required Participation Waiver
Dancers 18 years and older will be asked to complete a participation waiver. If the dancer is under the age of 18, their parent/guardian will be requested to sign at registration on the clinic date. Dancers will not be permitted to participate without this form.

Confirmation 
Upon successful registration, participants will receive a confirmation email verifying payment and registration details. If additional information needs to be communicated prior to the clinic, email will be used as the primary method of contact.

Refunds
There will be no refunds issued for those unable to attend the clinic.

Please check your email regularly as this is our primary way we communicate. Any additional information that we need to convey as the camp draws closer will be passed on to you via the e-mail address that you supplied when you signed up for camp. Please make it a habit to check your e-mail daily, this will eliminate any confusion and or miscommunication.

Eligible Participants
Dancers planning to audition for the 2026–2027 SEMO Sundancers team, including incoming freshmen and current SEMO students.

Cost
$30 total (one-time fee). Participants may attend one or both clinic dates.
Please be sure to select the clinic date(s) you plan to attend during registration so we can plan accordingly.



Description
Audition Prep Clinics are designed to prepare dancers who plan to audition for the 2026–2027 Southeast Missouri State University Sundancers dance team. Attendance at one clinic is required to be eligible to submit a first-round audition video.


At these clinics, participants will learn official audition choreography, technique, and across-the-floor material, and will receive an overview of the audition process, including expectations and instructions for submitting the first-round audition video.



Clinic Staff
Clinics will be coached by current SEMO Sundancers coaching staff and a graduating team captain.




Tentative Schedule
      •     4:30–5:00 PM: Check-In
      •     5:00–5:30 PM: Warm-Up & Technique
      •     5:30–6:45 PM: Across-the-Floor & Choreography
      •     6:45–8:00 PM: Mock Audition & Q&A




Audition Timeline
      •     Attendance at one audition prep clinic is required.
      •     First-round video submission due Thursday, April 30, 2026 (black two-piece attire)
      •     First-round selections and formal audition invitations sent Friday, May 1, 2026 by 2:00 PM via email
      •     Invite-only final auditions: Sunday, May 3, 2026
