ABC Sports Camps

Description

Audition Prep Clinics are designed to prepare dancers who plan on auditioning for the 2025-2026 Southeast Missouri State Sundancers team. Attendance is HIGHLY recommended. Participants must be an incoming freshman for the 2025-2026 Southeast Missouri State University school year.

At these clinics, dancers will learn portions of the audition choreography, relevant technique & across the floor material and an opportunity to discuss the audition process, questions pertaining to the Sundancers season and any other concerns. This will be a fast-paced, yet welcoming and accepting atmosphere. 

Camp Staff 
Clinic Participants will be coached by current Sundancers Athletes and Coaches

Tentative Schedule 

5:30-6:00PM—Registration 
6:00-6:30PM—Warm Up/Intros/Technique
6:30-7:15PM—Learn across the floor combo and a portion of the audition routine
7:15-8:00PM—Mock Audition/Open Discussion

Cost
The fee for the Southeast Missouri State Spring Clinic is $10 per participant. Full payment is required at the time of registration. If you are planning on attending all clinics—you must still register for each individual clinic. IF REGISTERED FOR AUDITIONS PRIOR TO 4/13/25, CLINIC FEES ARE WAIVED. A registration code will be sent to dancers registered prior to 4/13/25.

Equipment
Dancers should dress in comfortable dance attire (ex. Hot shorts, bra top/tank). Dance shoes of choice: jazz shoes, tennis shoes, turner shoes, etc. Dancers should supply snacks and water as preferred.

Required Participation Waiver
Dancers 18 years and older will be asked to complete a participation waiver. If the dancer is under the age of 18, their parent/guardian will be requested to sign at registration on the clinic date. Dancers will not be permitted to participate without this form.

Once your registration is approved, you will be emailed with a confirmation email, including a confirmation of payment notice. Please check your email regularly as this is our primary method of communication with participants and parents.

Refunds
There will be no refunds issued for those unable to attend the clinic.

Description

The Sundancers are the premier and dynamic dance team for the Southeast Missouri State University Redhawks. The Sundancers perform at all home football games, home men's & women’s basketball games and participate in numerous fan engagement appearances. We look forward to welcoming 2025-2026 Sundancer hopefuls and growing our team through the audition process.

Sundancer Auditions will be held on Sunday, May 4, 2025. Leading up to auditions, we will host optional but highly encouraged clinics from 5-7PM on the following dates:

• Monday, April 28 – Across the floor and jazz/pom combination
• Wednesday, April 30 – Across the floor and hip-hop combination
• Friday, May 2 – Review of all material

If dancers register before April 13, they will receive FREE access to the clinics. Otherwise, clinics will be $5 online and $10 in person.

Virtual auditions will be available on a case-by-case basis. Those interested will still need to register for auditions and should email me directly to submit their materials.

Schedule

2025-2026 Sundancers auditions will begin at 9:00am.

Equipment

Dancers should dress in audition dance attire. Black hot shorts with a team-colored bra top (red, black, or white) is preferred. Rhinestoned/decorated tops are acceptable. Dance shoes of choice: jazz shoes, tennis shoes, turner shoes, etc. Dancers should supply snacks and water as preferred. Hair should be styled down and “game day” performance makeup should be worn. 

Any exposed tattoos should be covered by makeup or tape. Dance earrings and engagement/wedding band rings are only acceptable jewelry.

Photo Required

A full-body 5X7 photo must be provided by the auditioning dancer at registration. If dancer fails to provide a hard copy photo, they will not be considered to proceed in the audition process. 
* The photo does not need to be a professional image. It needs to accurately represent you but should be a full body image. 

Cost

The audition fee for the Southeast Missouri State Sundancers 2025-2026 auditions is $35 per participant. Auditions are open to dancers enrolled for the 2025-2026 academic school year at SEMO. This includes incoming freshman and current SEMO students. Enrollment confirmation should accessible upon request.

Full payment is required at the time of registration.

Food/Drinks

Although there will be a water station, dancers should supply snacks and water as preferred. Dancers should be prepared for a long day.
